Austin Aune Over 226.5 Passing Yards (-115) (Bet $115 to collect $215) The best odds for this pick are over at DraftKings
We're at DraftKings here because they have a much better line than FanDuel. Those guys are hanging 238.5 (-114) at the moment which feels a little high. I mean, the kid is going to hit both numbers, I'm just saying it's way better to get 226.5 than 238.5. That's just how numbers work. It should be noted that if either books post alt lines, we should snag those too. There is no reason to skip a trip to the moon. It's Friday night.
December is a fantastic month to bet sports. One of the best and this December will be no different. Just look at how this weekend is shaping up. We've got Conference Championship games both Friday and Saturday, then the NFL on Sunday. There's not much better than that but don't forget, the NBA, NHL and college hoops are up and running too. It's a great time to be a gambler and we need to take advantage because before you know it, it will all be over.
Lucky for us, tonight we've got North Texas and UTSA facing off at 7:30pm ET on the CBS Sports Network. It's the perfect way to ease into the weekend because we have a quarterback who is getting disrespected like I've never seen. The idea that the books are hanging 226.5 on this kid is unreal. For starters, this kid gets it in when he needs to. He's gone 300+ five times this season. Aune even went 400+ in one of those games. If the Mean Green need him to throw all night, he can and will. We've seen him do it.
If there is ever a game where this kid will need to throw the ball all night, it's this one. The last time he had to play the Roadrunners he went for 325 passing yards. That's almost 100 more than we need him to get tonight (math). North Texas couldn't run for anything that game and I highly doubt they'll be able to do anything on the ground tonight. UTSA has only given up 3.5 yards per carry in their last three games. They stop the run and they score themselves. This could be the easiest win we'll ever see. In fact, we will definitely need to find something else to bet because this will cash by 9:00pm ET.
