Sophomore Brock Bowers has been Georgia's best tight end and best receiving threat this season. Can Bowers and Georgia win another national title? Lear Locks answers.
ANALYSIS

CFP National Championship Prop Pick: Can Brock Bowers Feast on TCU?

Brock Bowers is Stetson Bennett's huge, speedy 6'4" target in the middle of the field, and I expect him to get a lot of yards in this CFP National Championship matchup tonight. It's hard to trust that TCU's linebackers will be able to cover Bowers on the field or anyone else on the Georgia offense, for that matter.

CFP National Championship Georgia vs. TCU Prediction

This could end up being a very high-scoring game between Georgia and TCU. With that being said, this TCU defense has struggled against the pass all season long, and there's no reason for that to change here. They're allowing more than 240 passing yards per game this season and Georgia should look to exploit that early on.

Bennett has loved throwing to Bowers all season, and that trend should continue tonight. Bowers has been the main guy on this Georgia offense this season. Bowers has reeled in 56 catches for 790 yards on the season. He has really turned it on and is trying to make a case to be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

It's hard not to love the way Bowers plays football. He is a tough young kid who reminds me a lot of Kansas City Chiefs star tight ends Travis Kelce. Whenever Bennett is in trouble he always goes to Bowers. The 20-year-old just makes all the right plays, knows where to be, and makes things happen after the catch.

This season, Bowers has averaged over 14.1 yards a catch, which is insane for a tight end. He has also played in a National Championship game with Bennett, so you know they’ll be ready for tonight.

While TCU is hard to get a read on at times, they do allow a lot of big plays and don’t have the fastest linebackers to cover someone like Bowers. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to cover him with a safety, and with his size, he should be able to take advantage.

I love the over on his receiving yards odds, and this should be easy cash.
