12/22 – Detroit Lions @ Denver Broncos
Last night we got beat by 0.5 as the Bills fell to the Patriots but Buffalo looked good throughout. Tonight we're focused on another game in the National Football League which has been picked out via Statchecker.
The Lions haven't been great this year but we're taking them and the points to trump the Broncos. Denver can be a tough place to visit but with a rookie QB under center, and the return of the fantastic Kerryon Johnson, in time to boost the Lions ground game, we could see an upset.
Since 2017 the Broncos have only covered in 40% of home games following a loss. This looks set to be made worse by their dreadful december form in that same time frame. In the month of December Denver have a 5-8 record, showing their vunerability as the regular season draws to a close and they no longer have anything to play for.
But the Broncos are favorites you cry. It doesn't matter. Since 2013, a time period taking into account a Super Bowl winning Manning era, they've got a 44.2% record ATS when home favorites. That is shocking given the quality of Peyton Manning and their pass rush during those years of success.
