Thursday Night Football has developed a reputation for ugly games. With a matchup between the run-heavy Tennessee Titans and a Jaguars team still reeling after losing their franchise QB we may be in for another sluggish TNF matchup in the NFL.

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

TIAA Bank Field, 8:20pm ET Thursday September 19th, 2019

1u – Tennessee Titans -2 @ -105

- The Tennessee Titans are 1-0 ATS on the road this season.

- Per statschecker, Jacksonville Jaguars are 4-5-2 ATS (1-1 this season) as underdogs and 2-2-1 ATS as home underdogs (0-1 this season)

I have flip-flopped back and forward on this one since Sunday night. The Titans were disappointing to not get the win at home against the Colts, while the Jaguars rallied late but just fell short against the Texans. The Titans have won the last four matchups between these two teams by an average of 10 points, winning by at least three points on all four occasions. The Jaguars have played just two night games in the last four years. They lost both, including to the Titans on TNF in 2016 36-22. The clincher for me is not an intangible you can measure but rather a concern about the locker room situation. Jalen Ramsey and Doug Marrone were seen shouting at each other on the side line Sunday and Ramsey has subsequently asked for a trade.

1u – Jacksonville Jaguars Under 18.5 Total Points @ -110

- The Jaguars offense struggled in Houston as Gardner Minshew was sacked four times

- The Titans have eight sacks and four interceptions while allowing an average of 16 points this season

The Jacksonville Jaguars have not impressed offensively in these matches. In the last four meetings between the two teams they have not scored more than 16 points in any single game. Over the last two seasons the under is 6-3 in games in Jacksonville. The Titans allowed an average of 19 points per game on the road last season, including restricting the Jaguars to just six points last season in Jacksonville. The Jaguars will also be going into this game with question marks surrounding two of their best receivers in Chris Conley and DJ Chark. Even if they are active, they may both be limited, which will stifle this Jags offense given they have 21 of the Jaguars 50 receptions this seasons.
