TNF Colts At Texans: Picks & Preview
Thursday Night Football from the NFL brings us an AFC South clash as the Jacoby Brissett-led Indianapolis Colts head to Houston to face the Texans and Deshaun Watson. The previous game between these two teams was won 30-23 by the Colts, who never trailed at any point in the game.
Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans
NRG Stadium, 8:20pm ET Thursday November 21st, 2019
1u – Indianapolis Colts +3.5 @ -105
- Per statschecker, the Indianapolis Colts are 2-1-1 ATS on the road as underdogs
- Per statschecker, the Cleveland Browns are 1-3 ATS at home as favorites
The more I think about this game, the more I think that the Colts might just be the better team. That is especially the case with Jacoby Brissett back under centre, and T.Y. Hilton potentially back at the receiver position as well. The Texans secondary is really struggling for depth right now and the Colts ability to keep the pocket clean should allow Brissett to pick that secondary apart. The Texans will be reeling after last week and I expect a bounce back performance. However, give me Frank Reich over Bill O’Brien on the short week.
1u – Over 45.5 Total Points @ -112
- 46 or more points have been scored in seven of the Texans 10 games, including five of the last six
- 46 or more points have been scored in six of the Colts 10 games including three of the last five
I am expecting this to be a fun game. The Texans were extremely disappointing last week, but their offense is not going to be shut down two weeks running. In a similar vein the Colts offense demonstrated what they can do against a mediocre defense last week, and they face another one this week. Brissett should be able to move the ball against this team, and another 30 point performance is in reach.
