Jets vs. Ravens Predictions, Picks & Statistics
Week 15 gives us the NFL‘s last offering of Thursday Night Football this week, and while it may not be the best matchup, we do get to see the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson in primetime again. The New York Jets will have their hands full going into Baltimore on short notice and trying to come out on top in this one.
New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens
M&T Bank Stadium, 8:20pm ET Thursday December 12th, 2019
1u – Baltimore Ravens -14.5 @ +100
- Per Statschecker, the New York Jets are 2-4 ATS on the road this season
- The Ravens have won their last nine games and covered in six of the last seven
14.5 points are a lot to lay in an NFL game but just look at the matchups. The Baltimore offense against the Jets defense, the Jets offense against the Ravens defense, the head coaches and the quarterbacks. All four of those matchups favor the Ravens, and there is the added incentive for Lamar Jackson to put away another of the quarterbacks drafted ahead of him last season. I am not going to go crazy on this one, but this feels like the Ravens chance to make a statement after two close games the last two weeks.
1u – New York Jets Under 14.5 Total Points @ -117
- The Jets have managed just 28 points the last two weeks against the Dolphins and Bengals
- The Ravens have allowed less than 14 points in three of their last five games
These totals are tough to play because this game could be somewhat insane. The Ravens should crush the Jets in this game, and that starts with their stifling defense. The only teams to score over 14 against the Ravens since their bye are the Patriots, Bills and 49ers, who are all better offenses than the Jets have. This game is going to be a chance for the Jets to make a statement before they close the season with the Browns and Steelers.
