NFL expert Ben Rolfe finds the best bets in the Houston Texans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game
ANALYSIS

Houston Texans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Predictions

  • The Houston Texans offensive line ranks last in the league in adjusted sack rate
  • The Houston Texans are yet to score more than 20 points this season

A rough start does not get any easier for the Texans, as they face a Steelers team that ranks top in terms of stopping the run and top five when it comes to adjusted sack rate. Meanwhile, the Texans offensive line ranks dead last in adjusted sack rate and their offense has yet to click into gear.

The Steelers struggled at times last week against Jeff Driskel, but sometimes it can actually be to the disadvantage of a defense to see a backup QB when they have prepared for the starter all week. The Steelers will not have that problem this week, as they face a Texans team that is averaging just 18 points per game and 5.8 yards per play.

I have the Texans projected for 18 points in this game, but lacking the confidence the Steelers can get into that 25 point region I will stick with playing the Texans offense to be stifled for a third week running against one of the AFC’s best defenses.
