NFL expert Ben Rolfe finds the best bets in the Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills game
ANALYSIS

Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills Predictions

  • The Los Angeles Rams managed just 20 points against the Dallas Cowboys mediocre defense in Week 1
  • The Buffalo Bills have played two of the worst defenses in football in the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins

This is a really tough game to call, with both teams having talented players on both sides of the ball. This is also arguably the first real test for the Bills, while also a come back to earth moment for the Rams.

The Bills have beaten up on two terrible teams, averaging 29.0 points per game. Their defense has looked susceptible, allowing 22.5 points, but Week 1 they played a lot of football in “garbage time” with soft defensive play calls, and in Week 2 they faded badly down the stretch in the heat of Miami. Neither of those two situations should occur this week in what should be a lot more competitive game.

The Rams have been hampered by having to fly back to LA from Philadelphia before heading back to Buffalo this weekend. That travel is stopping me playing them against the spread, but it is part of the reason I am playing the under. The Rams offense could be a little slow out of the gate, and with wind expected to get up to 17 mph this could be a game we see a lot of running in. Additionally, the Bills have the defensive line to really test Jared Goff, and the secondary to take advantage of any mistakes.

Look for this game to be a ball control type game, with Jalen Ramsey and Tre’Davious White taking away the best receiver on the opposing side of the ball. One name to look out for is Tyler Higbee, especially if the Bills are playing without their top two linebackers, as he could be in for another great game and could be a good bet to find the end zone.
