- Last week the average points in games involving these two was 72
- Three of the four games involving these teams this season have gone over 60 points
This is a battle of the offenses and two teams not afraid to make big plays go head to head in Seattle. Russell Wilson was incredible on passes targeted over 20 yards down field, going 3-for-4 for 110 yards and three touchdowns. The Cowboys were also susceptible to the deep ball last week, so look for the Seahawks to have success throwing deep.
On the other side of the equation, the Cowboys lead the NFL with 41 offensive plays of 10-plus yards. Meanwhile, the Seahawks have allowed a league-high 47 plays of 10-plus yards. If I was braver, I would take this stat and use it to place money on the Cowboys ML. However, placing my hard-earned cash on Mike McCarthy when he is going up against Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll is not something I am willing to do.
Look for both teams to move the ball at will and rack up plenty of points. I would be shocked if both of these teams aren’t in the 30s when this one is said and done.
- The Cowboys lead the league in plays of 10-plus yards
- The Seahawks allow the most plays of 10-plus yards in the league
I really made the case for this above, but I just don’t see the Seahawks stopping the Cowboys. The Cowboys average 6.3 yards per play offensive, while the Seahawks allow 6.6 yards per play. I have the Cowboys projected for 29 points in this one, so take the over on 24.5
