The Philadelphia Eagles look for win No. 1 on the season against the Cincinnati Bengals. A Bengals team that could easily be 2-0 entering this week. Losing close games, 16-13 and 35-30, in their first two weeks.
After yet another disappointing performance, the Eagles fell to 0-2 and lost more starters to injury. Including another hit on their offensive line. However, the Eagles catch a break this week going against the 28th ranked rush defense this week.
Miles Sanders should be an easy play in all DFS lineups this week. Going against a defense that has allowed 155 & 215 yards in the first two weeks. After returning from injury last week, Sanders started his 2020 season with 95 rushing yards and a TD on 20 carries, while catching 3 passes for 36 yards.
With WR Jalen Reagor out for the foreseeable future with a finger injury, the Eagles should go back running their offense through their TEs. Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert were the Eagles leading receivers last season. To start this season, it has been Goedert who has gotten the targets. Which could lead to a big day for a somewhat forgotten Zach Ertz, who has just 8 catches on the season, against a smaller Bengals secondary.
On the opposite side of the ball, a position the Eagles need to improve against is TE. After being taken advantage of by Logan Thomas in week 1, the LA Rams really took advantage of the Eagles weak TE coverage in Week 2. Allowing Tyler Higbee to have a field day, 5 catches for 54 yards and 3 TDs.
It is hard to take the spread in this game. Especially with the Bengals losing by a combined 8 points the first two weeks. However, this is Joe Burrow’s first true road game. An opportunity where rookie struggles always seem to present themselves. Something that the Eagles will take advantage of on Sunday.
