- The Bears have relied on two comeback wins to be 3-0 this season
- The Colts have beaten their last two opponents by a combined 46 points
This line is actually how I would see this game being rated in Soldier Field was crowded full of Bears fans. However, with the stadium noise significantly less I believe it plays massively into the Colts hands. The Bears strength on defense is their pass rush, but the Colts have the offensive line to neutralize that. I expect the Colts to be able to move the ball with relative ease this week, despite playing a team that ranks in the top-10 in points allowed.
On the other side of the ball I believe we see Nick Foles crash back down to earth. I am a big believer in the advantage a QB can get coming in off the bench. The opposing team has been scouting the other QB all week and now they have to adapt on the fly. This week the Colts have had plenty of time to study Foles and prepare for him leading this offense.
Sure the Bears offense should look better than they did under Trubisky, but remember their offensive last week was inflated by just how bad the Falcons defense is. The story is similar when you look at the Week 1 game against the Lions, who handed the Bears 27 points. In their only other home game they labored to 17 points, a total I think the Colts can surpass with ease this week.
