NFL expert Ben Rolfe breaks down Sunday's Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons game
ANALYSIS

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons Predictions

  • The Atlanta Falcons have allowed an average of 34.5 points per game
  • The Carolina Panthers have scored over 27 points twice this season

The Panthers have a wonderful matchup this week with the Falcons leaky defense. The Panthers have gone over 30 points twice, both against defenses which has struggled in similar ways to the Falcons. The Falcons have yet to allow less than 30 points and have allowed over 35 twice.

The Panthers may not have the most high-powered offense, but they have the weapons to take apart a Falcons defense that has yet to show any fight at all. This game should be a lot of fun, and had it not been for the Panthers stifling Kyler Murray and the Cardinals last week, I might even have looked at the game total going over.

  • The Falcons have lost two devastating games and been blown out in their other two
  • The Panthers are riding a two-game win streak and appear to be clicking under their new coaching staff

Honestly, I was a little shocked that the Falcons were favorites. Their losses have been dismal and devastating. The Panthers on the other hand look regenerated under their new regime and should be able to come out of this one 3-2 and in the race for the division.
