- The Indianapolis Colts are 3-1 against the spread in 2020
- The Cleveland Browns are allowing an average of 31.5 points per game, compared to 14.5 by the Colts
This game is fascinating because it looks like two teams who are real contenders in the race for the AFC, but there is a real chance one of them is a somewhat fake challenger. The Indianapolis Colts stumbled out of the gate against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with mistakes from Phillip Rivers costing them dearly. However, since then they have cleaned their act up and won three games on the bounce. However, those three victories have come against teams with a combined 4-8 record, so the opposition has not been the strongest.
As for the Browns, they have also bounced back from Week 1, with their Week 4 performance being particularly stunning. However, the biggest concern is the way opposing teams have attacked their defense. The, Ravens Bengals and Cowboys were able to score over 30 points with the Washington Football Team scoring 20. With the Colts offensive line likely being able to frustrate Myles Garrett and the pass rush of the Browns, the Colts should be able to score too many points for the Browns in this one.
The Colts are averaging over 25 points per game on offense, while the Browns are allowing over 30 per game on defense. I would be very surprised if the Colts do not get to 25 in this one.
