NFL expert Sam Farley breaks down Sunday's Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Football Team game
ANALYSIS

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Football Team Predictions

  • The Cowboys have failed to cover the spread in their past 6 games

We've got our second NFC East clash of the week as Dallas travel to Washington to face the Football Team. I'm expecting three teams in the divison to be on two wins with Washington pulling off a victory against the Cowboys.

This is going to be Chase Young's breakout game. I'm expecting a dominant performance fitting for the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft. Young got a couple of tackles in their last game against the Giants and should do well against what's left of this Dallas offensive line.

Dallas has allowed 2.33 sacks per game, tied for 19th in the league, and their offense is giving away an average of 1 reception per game. This Washington D is underrated and I wouldn't be surprised to see a big game from them today as well as a defensive score, I can easily see Andy Dalton giving up a pick six here.

Dallas offense is a tale of two stories, Dak and post-Dak. From Dak putting up historic numbers during his games to the Cowboys only managing 10 points against the Cardinals last week. Washington's defense is stronger than Arizona's but you'd expect Dallas to be able to do more against what is a far weaker offense.

The key to Washington winning the game is the defense but they'll also need to get points on the board and to do that they need to focus more on Terry McLaurin. Scary Terry is 28th in the league for red zone targets but has still only managed one touchdown this season, he's set for positive regression and I'd expect to see him scoring this week.

8 of the last 9 games between these teams have gone over the total points line but lets not forget these are two very different teams to what we've seen in the past and Kyle Allen and Andy Dalton are at best, middling quarterbacks, let's back the under this week, set at just 46 points, and it should land.
