The Browns got humbled in a 38-7 loss to the Steelers last Sunday. What we learned from that game isn't that the Browns are terrible, they're not, they're good. The reality is that we learned that the Steelers are amongst the best teams in the league, and are going to be in Super Bowl contention.
Baker Mayfield was horrible on Sunday, before getting benched, although Kevin Stefanski claims it was just to spare him from taking more big hits. Mayfield is not a great quarterback but he can still be effective in a system designing to protect him from his weaknesses. Stefanski will help him achieve that.
Their opponents on Sunday, the Bengals, have the far superior QB. It's already obvious through just six games that Joe Burrow is going to be a star in the NFL. He's got a lot of young talent around him on the offense but his issue for the time being at least is his offensive line.
Myles Garrett is a nightmare for any offensive line and he's going to feast on this Bengals team and further him DMVP claims. If the Browns can pressure Burrow and stop him from connecting to Tyler Boyd and his new favorite target, Tee Higgins, then they'll win this game.
We're going to take the -3 on the Browns and run with it. I'd also lean toward taking the over on the points total too.
