Ben Rolfe looks to continue his hot-form and provides his picks for the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens on Sunday
ANALYSIS

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Predictions

  • Per statschecker, the Steelers are 5-1 against the spread this season, including 2-0 on the road
  • The Steelers kept the run-heavy Titans under wraps for the first half of the game last week as they jumped out to a big first half lead

This line opened with the Steelers as five-point underdogs and that line was ridiculous. The Ravens have struggled to get any momentum, while the Steelers have looked as good as any team in the entire league. The Steelers are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL, both offensively in terms of run and pass, but also in terms of offense and defense. They collapsed a little against the Tennessee Titans, but that should serve a wake-up call for this week.

The Ravens have done exactly what they needed to, but they crumbled against the Chiefs in their biggest test. They have also failed to impress at times this year and serious red flags need to be popping up. My metrics have the Ravens as a solid team, but I have the Steelers as the slightly better team when it comes projected outcome.

A key point to remember here is that, with the Steelers missing Ben Roethlisberger, they pushed the Ravens all the way to overtime in their first meeting last year. The Steelers are one of the best coached teams in the league and that discipline should help them against a not-so-hot Ravens team so far in 2020.

In terms of totals, I just think the safest thing to do is stay away. I lean towards all the unders, except for the Steelers team total with at 20.5 has a suggestion of taking the over for me. However, this game could be a 30-27 shootout, or a 10-7 slug fest and I would not be surprised either way.
