NFL expert Sam Farley breaks down Sunday's Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cleveland Browns game

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cleveland Browns Predictions

  • Each of the Raiders last 6 games have gone over the total points line

Jon Gruden's Raiders have been one of the most entertaining teams to watch this season. They've been dynamic on offense but they also give up points, leaving us with entertaining games every single.

I've been hugely impressed by the way Derek Carr has played, he's not quite at the level to be in the MVP conversation but I'd argue that he's on the rung below. He's paying back the faith that Gruden has had in him and he looks like a franchise QB, something we doubted for so long.

The key to this game isn't the Raiders though, we know what they are, it's the Cleveland Browns. Defensively they've been superb and that will continue but they're an enigma on offense. Will you get the pick-laden Baker Mayfield or the Baker Mayfield who plays like he's set to be benched. With Odell Beckham Jr sideline that leaves Mayfield with less weapons, and although this will see more work for Tee Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones, there is a severe drop off in quality.

The reality for me here is that the Raiders are, to me at least, the better team. Their use of tightends is fantastic and in Henry Ruggs they have a legitimate weapon who'll take the top of this defense and who I expect to have a big day. I'm expecting a high scoring game and won which Las Vegas will win, despite being underdogs.
