NFL Picks Against The Spread: Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers Predictions
- Per statschecker, the over is 6-1 in Las Vegas Raiders’ games
- The last four Chargers games have seen over 55 points scored, with three going over 60 points
There is no doubt where the AFC West championship is going in 2020, but the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers are both fighting hard to stake a claim for the second spot in the division. Both teams have exciting offenses and porous defenses which should make for a fascinating game.
The past few weeks have been incredible for the Los Angeles Chargers as Justin Herbert has found his feet in the offense. The Chargers have scored over 30 points in three of the last four and have averaged over 30 points per game in that stretch. The Chargers appear to be able to move the ball at will right now and have the potential to score touchdowns from anywhere on the field.
Meanwhile, their defense has been having its own problems, allowing over 30 points in three of the last four, with the odd game out being allowing 29 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Raiders offense struggled in bad weather conditions last week, but entering into a dome against a defense that can be beaten, look for them to get back around the 30-point mark offensively.
Both teams are loaded with offensive firepower and we should see plenty of back and forth in this game.
In terms of the spread, my lean would be to take the Los Angeles Chargers. However, watching the way the Chargers collapsed last week from a commanding position, there is no way I can put any money directly on the outcome of this result. If we see the Raiders moneyline move out towards +150 then I might be tempted to bet on another Chargers collapse, especially given the Raiders beat the Chiefs just a few weeks ago.
