ANALYSIS

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears Prop Bets And Predictions

This Monday Night Football sees the Vikings travel to Chicago to face the Bears. The Vikings enter theg ame as three point favorites but with both teams failing to be consistent this season there is room for some value bets.

Darnell Mooney Total Receptions - Over 3.5 @ +110

Darnell Mooney is a player who has really taken me by surprise this year. Coming out of Tulane he was somebody I'd not seen much film on, and being selected in the fifth round of this stacked class of receivers, he wasn't really on my radar. Then I watched the Bears play and he absolutely pops on film, and could be a real danger if the Bears improve under center. He's already leapfrogged Anthony Miller and become the second receiving option on this offense. He's only exceeded 3.5 receptions in 3 of his 9 games this season, which is a worry, but when you look into the stats, two of those have been in the previous two weeks, further evidencing the Bears willingness to make him a key part of their passing game. It's also worth noting that since Week 3 he has had 5+ targets with last week's 11 a career high.

Jimmy Graham Receiving Yards - Over 36.5 @ -110

It really didn't seem like we'd ever seen Jimmy Graham being relevent again but whisper it quietly, he's been pretty good in Chicago. We've only seen Graham go over 36.5 yards twice this season, but one of those was last week and will David Montgomery ruled out through injury, I'd expect to see Graham pick up more short passes from Foles. The Vikings haven't been good against tightends either, allowing an average of over 65 yards to the position each week, 29th in the league.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - Lamar Miller @ +1000

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - Artavis Pierce @ +850

Lamar Miller was activated from the practice squad this week and is almost certain to take some part in Monday Night Football. With David Montgomery injured it's expected that Ryan Nall becomes the lead back but I don't believe in Nall's ability to be a three down back and think we'll see far more of a committee approach than some people expect. With the Vikings averaging 125 rushing yards allowed per game it's possible that we could see the other backs on the roster, Pierce and Miller get a good crack at scoring, with that in mind I think it's worth putting half a unit on each of them to score given their odds are so high.
