Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cleveland Browns Predictions

The Philadelphia Eagles, 3-5-1, enter the week coming off their worst performance on the season. After their bye week, the Eagles were outplayed and outcoached in a 27-17 loss to the NY Giants. A loss that ended a 8-game win streak against the Giants and put the horrendous NFC East back up for grabs.

The Cleveland Browns, 6-3, enter the week coming off their 6th win of the season. After only scoring 6-points in heavy winds against the LV Raiders the week prior, the Browns rebounded with a 10-7 win over the Houston Texans in the pouring rain. A win that was won on the ground with Cleveland rushing for their 3rd 200+ rush-yard game on the season.

After the bye, the Eagles never seemed to lose under Andy Reid or Chip Kelly, combined 15-2. However, that does not seem to be the case with Doug Pederson. With the loss, Pederson is now 1-4 in the game following the bye week. That record does not improve in the next game after either. In the 2nd game after the bye, Pederson is 1-3.

Philadelphia will look to rebound after its worst offense performance against a Browns defense giving up an average of 28 points per game. Allowing 20+ points in 6 of the 9 games this season. But, Philadelphia must stop the Browns run game to have any chance on Sunday.

Cleveland will focus on its run game against the Eagles weak run defense. Averaging 159 yards per game, the Browns look to capitalize on an Eagles defense giving up 133 yards per game. But, Cleveland must limit the Eagles pass heavy offense against a Browns defense giving up the 6th most receiving yards to WRs.

With the Browns heavy run offense & the Eagles inability to stop the run, already giving up 130+ yards on the ground in 6 of the 9 games this season, the Browns should be in for a big day on the ground. Something that may be too much for the Eagles to handle on Sunday.
