Las Vegas Raiders vs. New York Jets Predictions

  • The Jets are 3-8 against the spread this season

Last Sunday the Raiders got stunned 43-6 by the Atlanta Falcons. It was a wild result and one that still doesn't make sense when looking back at it. That result may have done us a solid though, with the Raiders only 8 point favorites over the abject Jets.

The Jets are a dumpster fire, 0-11 and on their way to drafting Trevor Lawrence. This is not a good football team. They've shipped 20 points to the Dolphins, 34 to the Chargers, 30 to the Pats, across the past three games. They can't stop any offense from scoring and have shipped 322 points this season, with only the Jags, Cowboys and Lions giving up more. Across the season they've also scored less than anybody else, scoring just 152 points, thats nearly half of what Raiders have scored, on 292.

The Jets are 3-8 ATS this season and it's going to be 3-9 after Sunday. When the Raiders offense is firing there aren't many in football who can keep up with them and the Jets certainly won't be able to. Before last week's loss to the Falcons they'd put up 31 against the Chiefs, 37 on the Broncos and before that, 31 on the Chargers. I'm absolutely taking them with an 8 point handicap against the Jets here, it'll be light work.
