Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints
Bet: Under 47.5 @ -101
These teams combined to put up 33 points two weeks ago, now I’m supposed to expect them to put up at least 48 this week? I like the Saints to win here, but more importantly I love this under.
I think some people will get caught up in last week’s results on this one. The Falcons put up 40+ against Oakland and the Saints smacked the QB-less Broncos. But, this is a tough NFC South matchup. The Falcons aren’t what they used to be and the Saints are led by Taysom Hill at QB.
I see something like 24-14 or 24-20, with the Saints coming out on top, but I don’t see this game breaking 47 points.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans
Bet: Texans +3.5 @ -110
I flirted with Texans outright here, but the loss of Will Fuller to a failed drug test makes me pull back a bit. I continue to think that the Colts are one of the most overrated teams in football, by oddsmakers and otherwise.
I don’t trust an old Philip Rivers to make plays when they’re needed, and Houston may be hitting its stride right now. I know the Indy defense is good, but so is Deshaun Watson. I trust him to make things happen despite a lack of talent around him, keeping this one within a field goal.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers
Bet: Packers -8.5 @ +100
This one hurts. I’m an Eagles fan and rarely, if ever, bet against them, but this is where we are with the Eagles now. They are one of the worst teams in the entire NFL and it’s time to come to grips with it.
I can’t come up with a single scenario in my head where the Eagles are able to keep this within 10 points. Carson Wentz is bad, Doug Pederson is bad and their offensive line is massively injured and falling apart by the day.
The Packers may be the best team in the NFC and the Eagles struggle to score no matter who they play. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams will do whatever they want to a bad Eagles secondary. 31-10 sounds about right.
