Week 13 Monday Night Football Picks: Washington Football Team vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Prop Bets
No better way to kick off a week than with two Monday Night Football games on the schedule. I like three props for the first game, including two which come in at better-than-even odds. The Steelers will likely win tonight, but I like Washington to put up a good fight.
Washington Football Team vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Predictions
Antonio Gibson to Score a TD @ +145
I’m piggybacking on the Thanksgiving Day performance here, but I think getting Washington’s No. 1 running back at better-than-even odds is good value and I’m going to hop on it as I think the chances of him scoring are better than not.
The Steelers’ defense is one of the best in the league, but I think we’re going to see a heavy dose of Gibson in order to take some pressure off of Alex Smith. The Pittsburgh pass rush is extremely dangerous, and the easiest way to negate that is by running the ball.
I expect a 20+ touch performance from Gibson as he emerges as one of the offenses only weapons outside of Terry McLaurin.
Eric Ebron Over 3.5 Catches @ -130
Ebron has four or more receptions in six of the last nine games and has generally been a matchup nightmare for every team the Steelers have played. When he was taken in the first round by the Lions, this is what they envisioned. It never worked in Detroit but it certainly seems like a fit in Pittsburgh.
Big Ben’s arm isn’t what it used to be when working the ball down the field, and as a result he relies on more dinking and dunking than he did earlier in his career. Last week Ebron saw 11 targets, and I can't imagine why he wouldn't be targeted in similar fashion tonight.
Washington’s pass rush has been awesome this season, so expect the Steelers to work in a lot of short or intermediate routes to try and pick on an average secondary behind the monsters up front.
Benny Snell Jr. over 2.5 Catches @ +162
I love this play, which of course means he will probably see 0 targets, but the price is too good to pass up. With James Conner out of the lineup, Benny Snell is expected to be the main back in Pittsburgh tonight. A lot of what I said about Ebron is true for Snell, except you need one fewer catch and you’re getting it at much better odds.
Against Baltimore, in his first game as a starter this season, Snell rushed the ball 16 times and caught three passes. That Baltimore defense is much better than this Washington defense, but Snell was still able to make an impact in both the run and pass game. Expect him to be a major part of what Pittsburgh does tonight.
