NFL Player Props Week 3: Top Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets

In Week 2 our picks went 5-5 but the good thing about touchdown scorer picks is they typically come at long odds so even with a 5-5 week we found ourselves in the profit. Week 3 is already underway with the Panthers trouncing the Texans this Thursday night. Our Thursday Night Football anytime touchdown picks didn't fare so well.

Sam Darnold +450

Anthony Miller +500

Tommy Flippin Tremble +1100

Those are your touchdown scorers from Thursday night. I shared this on Twitter Friday morning, this game was flat-out gross. The good news is we have a plethora of NFL games to probe through for new winners and solidify ourselves.

Even better than my picks is the OddscheckerUS website compares odds from every sportsbook for every NFL game. This includes odds for anytime touchdown scorers and we find where you can get the best price for your bet.

Last week we played it safe, picking multiple running backs. Week 3 provides a different approach though and we're coming out firing! Let's get to my Week 3 anytime touchdown picks.

Noah Fant (+265)

Look familiar? That's because he cashed our same pick last week. So we're going back to him again. Since last season no team has allowed more touchdowns to the Tight End position than the Jets. He has over a 20% target share through the first two weeks, good for the fourth-highest among tight ends. Denver is heavily favored and we can expect multiple scoring opportunities for the Broncos come Sunday.

Sterling Shepard (+185)

I get it, you know I'm a Giants fan and think this is just a homer pick. Well, it is but it isn't. Shepard is the longest-tenured Giant and that is showing on the field as Daniel Jones trusts Shep the most. Atlanta is allowing the highest completion rate to slot wide receivers through two weeks. Shep has had at least nine targets, 90 yards, and 7 catches each week. Jones has targeted him a team-high 19 times. He has caught 16 out of those 19 targets for an insane 84.2% catch rate. He is among the league leaders with 5 red zone targets through two weeks. He scored in Week 1 at home. I expect another big week for Sterling in Week 3.

Justin Fields (+290)

Fields will be making his first career NFL start this Sunday taking on the Cleveland Browns. He entered last week's game nearly halfway through when Andy Dalton suffered an injury. In just over one-half of football, Fields ran the ball 10 times! The Browns have already allowed two rushing scores to quarterbacks, Tyrod Taylor and Patrick Mahomes. I know it was college but in 2019 he played in 14 games rushing for 10 scores. As a rookie, we can expect him to duck and run and rely on his feet early in his career just as most rookie quarterbacks have done over the years. Fields is a player I think will surprise a lot of people and hopefully, he can have a successful pro career starting this Sunday by finding the endzone at +290!

Latavius Murray (+175)

This pick is also my best bet of the week! the value is tremendous on Latavius Murray. I hope you didn't already forget what Aaron Jones just did to the Detroit defense on Monday night. Murray had nine rushes last week for 36 yards and a goal-to-go carry leading to a touchdown. The Lions have now allowed six total touchdowns to the running back position in 2021—four to Jones last week and two in Week 1 to 49ers backs. Carrying over the fact the Lions were terrible in 2020, allowing a league-high 29 touchdowns to opposing running backs, the Ravens, a run-first team, and Murray, the quintessential goal-line back, should find the end zone. We're getting crazy value! Murray has scored in both Ravens games and expect that streak to extend to three straight. Another option I've floated around in my head is betting all three of Murray, Lamar Jackson (-110), and Ty'Son Williams (+140) to all get in the endzone. Two out of three definitely should score but given the stats I just gave you, there's a shot all three can. You know what I've just convinced myself this will profit. Put it on the board!

Julio Jones (+165)

The Titans offense finally got going last week in Seattle. Led by their brute running back Derrick Henry. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has only one touchdown pass on the season but last week the refs stole one away from him and Julio. The Colts defense has been BAD defending the pass so far, they are in the bottom four in yards allowed per pass attempt and passing touchdowns allowed. They've allowed a league-high 17 yards per catch to wide receivers and league-high four touchdowns on deep passes. Those of you who have also had the pleasure of watching Julio Jones play football know he can take the top off a defense just as well as anyone we've ever seen before.

Austin Hooper (+350) & David Njoku (+400)

Both Hooper and Njoku will be extremely active Sunday. With Jarvis Landy landing on the IR this week and Odell Beckham making his 2021 debut returning from a torn ACL, we can expect Hooper and Njoku to lead the way. In 2020 the Bears allowed the third most scores to the tight end position. Both Hooper and Njoku have received two red-zone targets through two weeks but neither has converted. That should change Sunday. All we need is one to score to profit, if both score we're eating lobster Monday.
