ANALYSIS

Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Football Team: Same-Game Parlay Picks

Through three games, both of these teams have something in common. They each have one win and each of them beat the New York Giants in that win. For Washington, they won a crazy game in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football.

Atlanta, well they went on the road and beat the Giants 17-14 to play spoiler to Eli Manning’s number retirement. These two teams are looking to get on track after a rocky start to their season. For Sunday’s contest, I have a three-leg same-game parlay for you to try out.

Leg 1: Washington race to 25 points

WFT vs Falcons Betting Odds

Only once this year has Washington eclipsed the 25 point mark on the season but they haven’t played this Falcons defense yet. Atlanta ranks 30th in points allowed and in the first two weeks they allowed a combined 80 points.

Atlanta just had the luxury of going up against what Jason Garrett calls an offense. Washington should fare much better, even with Taylor Heinicke in. Expect Washington to try to attack Atlanta through the air as they’ve allowed both Tom Brady and Jalen Hurts to pick them apart.

Leg 2: Atlanta Falcons over 15.5 points

WFT vs Falcons Betting Odds

Washington has struggled the last two weeks giving up 72 points over that span. While Atlanta hasn’t had what you would call a groundbreaking offense, they’re more than capable of hitting 16 in this game against a struggling defense.

Washington has allowed the fourth-most passing yards against in the league which will have Matt Ryan and company salivating on Sunday. Atlanta has hit 16 or more points in a game in 16 of their last 19 tries.

Leg 3: Washington -1.5

WFT vs Falcons Betting Odds

Neither of these teams are particularly good at covering the spread. Since the start of 2020, Washington is 10-10 while Atlanta is 8-11. Atlanta is 2-1 since last year as a home underdog but have they proven enough to show that they deserve the benefit of the doubt?

I suppose you can say the same thing about Washington who has their backup Quarterback in, but I just trust a proven coach in Ron Rivera more so than I do Arthur Smith who is still getting his feet wet. Maybe I’m biased as someone who has just been burned by the Falcons too many times to buy into them now.

If all three legs of this hit, you're looking at a +290 return on your money. Check out these sportsbooks that offer same-game parlay action below.
