Houston Texans vs. Buffalo Bills: Same-Game Parlay Picks
The Buffalo Bills lost their first game of the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since that loss, the Bills have won their last two games by a combined score of 77-21. It’s no secret why the Bills are an extremely heavy favorite, at home, against the Houston Texans.
While the Texans aren’t terrible, it’s going to be hard to win games with a rookie quarterback under center. The Texans started the season with Tyrod Taylor, but Houston had to rely on rookie Davis Mills when he got injured. The Texans have already said that they’ll put more on Mills’ shoulder in this game. I’m not so sure that’ll be a good thing for the rookie quarterback. Just look at how Zach Wilson, Trevor Lawrence, and Justin Fields have looked in games so far. Here’s a same-game parlay that you can enjoy while watching the Texans vs. Bills.
Texans vs. Bills Same-Game Parlay Picks
Bills -15.5 (-114)
The Bills are more than a two-touchdown favorite, and I’m okay with that. The Buffalo offense is really starting to click behind Josh Allen, who has thrown for seven touchdowns and just one interception on the season. His new target Emmanual Sanders has 11 receptions for 194 yards and has made a real impact early.
That’s the one thing that the Bills always do well. If they sign on a new player, they find ways to get them the ball. Many teams in the NFL don’t do it like the Bills. Anyway, the Bills have looked great offensively recently, and the pass rush and coverage on defense have been way above average.
Therefore, if Mills drops back and throws a lot of times in this game, things won’t really work out. The Bills have swarmed in the passing game with pressure and with coverage down the field.
A 21-point blowout is in the cards against the Texans here.
Emmanuel Sanders Any Time Touchdown (+175)
The Houston Texans have been awful in coverage this season, and this will allow for many touchdown passes from Allen in this game. However, it looks as though Emmanual Sanders has made a name for himself in this new offense, with two touchdowns on 11 receptions with 20 targets. He’s averaging 17.6 yards per reception, and the Bills clearly have plays to find Sanders down the field for deep shots.
Sanders has three big plays this season through three games and a long reception of 41 yards. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Sanders make another huge play down the field against the Texans for a touchdown. At +175, this is a nice piece to add to the parlay.
Bills Over 16.5 Points in First Half (-120)
The Bills are going to come out firing like they always do. This offense is built to score and score in a hurry. Unfortunately, the full game team total is 31.5, which is a poor number because you won’t see teams finishing with 32 points very often.
However, the first-half team total for the Bills is currently 16.5 at -120. Hitting 17 in the first half is very common between two touchdowns and a field goal.
The Bills are 9-0 when Allen reaches 300 yards passing. With the Texans allowing 283 yards passing per game, I’d expect Allen to reach north of 300 in this game. That would mean that Allen would dominate in the first half because, in theory, the Bills would run the clock out in the fourth quarter.
Forget the full game and ride the first half for the final leg of the parlay.
