NFL Player Props Week 4: Top Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets

We kicked off Week 4 of the NFL season this past Thursday with an absolute BANG! We hit on two out of our three anytime touchdown picks, Trevor Lawrence (+450) and CJ Uzomah (+300). This is a great start and I'm ready to roll this into our picks for the rest of Week 4.

Last week I mentioned that we're learning lessons about every team as we advance further into the NFL season. We have more statistics and more football to view for the good old eye test to base our anytime touchdown picks off of.

We got obliterated by our picks last week. Sterling Shepherd and Julio Jones left early because of hamstring injuries. Justin Fields looked like a lost puppy on the middle of a freeway and the Ravens abandoned the run against the Lions so our trio of Lamar Jackson, Latavius Murray, and Ty'Son Williams had no chance at the endzone.

The good omens are with us to start Week 4 though, and let's keep things rolling!

Jonathan Taylor (+125)

Already on the Oddschecker staff top pick of the week, I'm sharing it again here. To get Taylor at these odds in this matchup is too good to pass up. Yet to find the endzone through the first three weeks, I expect this to change here in Week 4. Miami has allowed the third-most rushing yards and second-most rushing touchdowns to running backs so far. Last week they allowed Peyton Barber to run for 111 yards a touchdown. In Week 2, Miami allowed Bills running backs to combine for three scores. For fantasy owners a big exhale is coming after Sunday. JT to score is my top pick of the week.

Buffalo Bills Defense/Special Teams (+450)

Everyone is expecting a beat down of Houston this Sunday at the hand of the Bills. Currently -17 favorites, Buffalo should roll. It's difficult to find value on anyone on the Buffalo offense so I'm going with a different approach! The Texans are sending out rookie quarterback Davis Mills for his second NFL start. He managed to protect the ball last Thursday against the Panthers in his first start but that will change here in Week 4. The Bills will have a substantial lead in this game forcing Houston to throw. I like these odds for a Bills defensive score as we can hope for a pick-six or a strip-sack fumble returned for a touchdown. Last season the Bills forced the third-most turnovers and are tied for third again so far in 2021.

TJ Hockenson (+215)

Through three weeks the tight end leads Detroit in red-zone targets. Chicago allowed the second-most touchdowns in 2020. Last week we backed both Austin Hooper and David Njoku to score and Hooper came through for us facing the Bears defense. This game has a sneaky feel for some points with the veteran Andy Dalton getting the start for the Bears. Last season Hockenson lit up the Bears for 14 catches 140 yards and a touchdown.

Terrace Marshall Jr. (+400)

The rookie wide receiver trailed only DJ Moore in targets a week ago. The Cowboys defense is flat-out bad carrying over from last season. They allowed the most touchdowns to wide receivers in 2020 and so far in 2021 have allowed four through three games. Marshall a rookie, trailed Robby Anderson and the aforementioned Moore in snaps but they have increased over the first three weeks of the season. Carolina will most likely need to throw the ball to keep up with this explosive Dallas offense. He leads the Panthers in red-zone targets, a big-bodied receiver that gives Darnold a good option near the end zone. I also expect Robby Anderson to have a good game here. So if you don't love the Marshall play I don't hate the decision of betting on Robby.

Austin Hooper (+305) & David Njoku (+600)

We are going back to this same one we hit last week. The Vikings have been absolutely smashed by opposing tight ends so far in 2021. Even some lesser-known tight ends. Last week Seahawks tight ends combined for 7 catches 101 yards. In Week 2 Cardinals tight end Maxx Williams had 7 catches for 94 yards. They've yet to allow any tight ends to score but they are among the worse against wide receivers. Hooper and Njoku both saw their snap counts increase significantly following the Jarvis Landry injury. Hooper paces the Browns in targets through three weeks. Let's get one or both in the endzone here in Week 4!

Week 4 Anytime Touchdown Picks

  • Jonathan Taylor (+125)
  • Bills Defense/Special Teams (+450)
  • TJ Hockenson (+215)
  • Terrace Marshall Jr. (+400)
  • Austin Hooper (+305)
  • David Njoku (+600)
