Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets
The Kansas City Chiefs are 1-2 to start the season. This team has struggled to cover games and have a terrible defense that has just scuffled in the run game, pass game, and even special teams.
On the other hand, the Eagles are also 1-2. Philadelphia started off the season with a bang but have since cooled off as the offense is scoring just 21.3 points per game through their games.
However, with the Chiefs allowing 440.7 yards per game on the defensive end, the Eagles offense might break out behind Jalen Hurts in his second year under center. Meanwhile, nobody would be shocked if the Chiefs take care of business offensively against the Eagles, as they’re averaging 30.7 points per game and have one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Below are a few of the best wagers for anytime touchdowns in Sunday’s 1 pm ET game between the Chiefs and Eagles on CBS.
Eagles vs. Chiefs Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets
Jalen Hurts (+140)
Last week, the Cowboys did a solid job containing Hurts in the pocket. They didn’t let him run and escape the pocket and had a quarterback spy out there most of the time. However, the Chiefs are just inept at stopping the run. The Eagles will feel very comfortable letting Hurts run the football in the red zone. The reality is, they don’t want Hurts to make any mistakes around the red zone, so the fewer throws the better. Hurts has 26 carries for 179 yards and a touchdown in three weeks. Against the Chiefs, another rushing touchdown is in the cards.
Miles Sanders (+120)
Again, the rush defense for the Chiefs is just absolutely dreadful. They’re allowing 160.3 yards per game on the ground and can’t stop the run game if their life depended on it through three weeks. The Eagles didn’t really run the ball often last week but that will change this week. The scouting report argues that the Eagles should run most of the time in this game. I like the Eagles to score at least three touchdowns in this game and I believe all three could be on the ground between Hurts and Sanders.
Travis Kelce (-150)
I’ve been ranting about how bad the Chiefs defense has been but the Eagles defense hasn’t been all that much better. The Eagles are allowing 260 yards passing per game, and with the Chiefs averaging 313.3 yards passing, there’s a good chance the Chiefs reach 300 yards passing against the Eagles. On the year, Kelce is putting up legitimate receiver numbers with 20 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He’s averaging a touchdown per game and is clearly Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target in the red zone. You can really bet on any of these Chiefs players to score. I’m expecting a shootout, but the best option, to me, is Kelce.
