Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets
We have made it to the final game of Week 4 of the NFL season . Every year we always say how fast the season seems to move along. Well. here I am again saying WOW how is it already been one month!?
The Raiders led by Derek Carr are 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 2002. when they last reached the Super Bowl. Two of those three wins have come in overtime. The Chargers have started the season 2-1 with both of their wins coming from late-game drives by second-year quarterback Justin Herbert.
Expecting a shootout in this one as the Raiders games have featured the second-most combined pass attempts. I think we'll see some points scored on Monday. Who will be the ones to find the endzone though? Let's get to my anytime touchdown picks for Monday night football!
Here at Oddschecker, we compare odds from every game including the touchdown markets. We find you the best odds for your bets.
Chargers vs. Raiders Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets
Darren Waller (+140)
Waller is among the league leaders in red-zone targets with 7 through three weeks. He only has one touchdown on the season but a matchup with the Chargers should change that. He's tied for the second-most targets in the entire NFL. In 2020 the Chargers were tied for the third most scores to the tight end position. Last week they allowed Travis Kelce to go for 7 catches and 104 yards and allowed a touchdown to back up tight end Jody Fotson. In Week 1 Logan Thomas also scored on an 11-yard touchdown pass. Let's get Waller in the end zone on Monday night!
Peyton Barber (+285)
The Chargers are the worse rushing defense so far in 2021. They've allowed the league-high 415 yards on the ground to running backs. With Jacobs currently a game-time decision and "very questionable" according to Head Coach Jon Gruden, I'm betting on Peyton Barber to score. If Jacobs does end up playing I'm not so sure he handles 100 percent of the carries. Especially because Barber proved himself last weekend rushing 23 times for 111 yards a touchdown. Drake is a threat to score as well but I'll side with the primary ball carrier against the Chargers. At the time of writing, only a few books have Barber listed and I suggest getting on him before we get news of Josh Jacobs. If Jacobs plays I personally don't mind if you hedge by wagering him as well.
Mike Williams (+105)
The breakout is finally here! Of course, I traded him in a dynasty league this offseason! Jokes on me! Williams has scored in every game thus far, including twice last week. He is among the league leaders in overall targets and trails only his teammate Keenan Allen by one red-zone target in the entire NFL. The Raiders have struggled to contain opposing wide receivers and I expect Williams to continue his dominant start to 2021 on primetime.
