Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars: Same-Game Parlay Picks

It was an interesting week for both of these teams. The Titans lost to the win-less Jets while Jaguars’ head coach, Urban Meyer, elected to forgo the team’s plane ride home and stick around in Ohio, where he got into trouble with different women at a bar.

It couldn’t get more embarrassing for an NFL team after losing to the Jets but when the Urban Meyer reports started to leak out, things got way more embarrassing.

At this point, we have to question how some of these Jaguars players are feeling about all of this. The performance from the Jags from a “hard work” standpoint will be fine, but from a preparation standpoint, things might be a bit off in this one. I’m looking to fade the Jaguars in this matchup in my Same-Game Parlay.

Titans vs Jaguars Same-Game Parlay Picks

Titans -4.5 @ -110

The Titans were awful against the Jets last week. The pass protection was horrendous and they were without Julio Jones, A.J. Brown and Bud Dupree, to name a few. It’s unclear whether any of these three will play in this game, as all three are questionable for this game.

Either way, I’d still project the Titans receivers better than the Jaguars’ receivers with DJ Chark Jr. on the injured reserve after an injury last week.

The Jaguars have struggled to make tackles and the coverage has been awful along with the run game. Once Derrick Henry starts to run over the Jags on defense, the passing game opens up and the coverage will be swiss cheese by then.

Titans Over 26.5 Total Points @ -116

I seriously don’t think the Jaguars will be prepared for this game. I’ve heard that the Jaguars have had several meetings and that none were about game planning about the Titans early this week. I’m going to believe the Titans will have Jones, Brown or both returning for this game and believe the Titans should have no problem storming down the field against the Jaguars at all in this game.

The Jaguars are allowing 427 yards per game this season including 320.8 yards per game in the air. If the Titans have those stud receivers, that’ll be game offer. If not, the Titans will still find a way to score at least four touchdowns in this one.

Titans Double-Result @ -110

Last week’s result will scare some people off, but not myself. What a double result means is that the Titans need to win the first half and full game. You essentially have the Titans on the moneyline in halftime and in the full game.

Again, the Jaguars are only good for running the football and when they’re down, they’ll elect to pass it. The Titans secondary isn’t all that but the defense still projects better than the Jaguars. Let’s also not forget how great the Titans can be in special teams. That sometimes changes games as well.

With the Jags unprepared, I’m going all out on the Titans to win early and late.
