MNF Same-Game Parlay: Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens
As a lifelong Carson Wentz apologist, I probably have more faith in the Colts than most. But, I do think we get a good game this week. After looking over the Colts vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay markets, I found three that I like.
I’m focussing on two player props and a full-game market for my Monday Night Football 3-leg Same Game Parlay. Those three picks give us +544 odds to try and put an exclamation point on Week 5. Which players should you be backing? Let’s take a look.
Same Game Parlay Picks
3-Leg Same Game Parlay @ +544 odds - $50 wager wins $272.08
Same Game Parlay Leg 1: Carson Wentz over 224.5 passing yards @ -114
It’s been a pretty average start to the season for Carson Wentz as the Colts starting QB. He hasn’t been bad, he hasn’t turned the ball over a lot, which he did in Philadelphia, but the Colts are 1-3 and Wentz certainly hasn’t lit up the scoreboard or the stat sheet.
But, this total is really low 224.5 yards is not a lot to ask of Carson Wetnz. As a matter of fact, he’s surpassed that mark in three of four games so far this season. And, to make it even better for Wentz, this Baltimore pass defense has not been good. So far this year, Baltimore has allowed 273 pass yards per game, good for eighth most in the entire NFL.
I think Wentz surpasses the 250-yard mark pretty easily come Monday night. So I’m making this the first leg of my Same Game Parlay.
Same Game Parlay Leg 2: Marquise Brown Anytime TD Scorer @ +115
Marquise Brown has been awesome this season and I’m expecting that to continue on Monday Night Football. Brown has caught a touchdown in three of the team’s four games this season. He’s the team’s leading receiver and is clearly Lamar Jackson’s favorite target. If I were to price this up, I would have Brown at odds-on. But, here we get him at +115 so it’s too good to pass up.
My other thought was to take Jonathan Taylor to score, because I think he gets in the end zone as well. But, I went with Brown because his odds are better than Taylor’s (-105).
Same Game Parlay Leg 3: Baltimore-Baltimore Double Result @ -140
I like the Ravens to win on Monday Night Football. So, the second part of this one was easy. But, a look at how the Colts have started games this season made this -140 price too good to pass up. In their four games this season, the Colts have led at halftime exactly once, last week against the Dolphins. Even against a bad Dolphins team that they eventually beat by 10, they only led 7-3 at the break.
As for the Ravens, they’ve led at halftime in three of their four games. The only time they trailed at halftime came against the Chiefs in a game they eventually won outright. We have a slow-starting team vs. one that gets out of the gates fast. Let’s not overthink this one.
