NFL Week 6 Picks: Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Predictions

One of the oldest and best rivalries in all of sports takes place this Sunday when the Green Bay Packers head to Soldier Field in Chicago and take on the Bears! The Bears and Packers are the two oldest teams in the NFL. This rivalry dates back all the way to 1921 facing each other a grand total of 201 times! The Packers come into Week 6 with a 4-1 record leading the NFC North and the Bears trail them by just one game with a 3-2 record. Despite the injuries to both of these rosters, this game will be an exciting one in Week 6.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Prediction

Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields has certainly looked like a rookie to this point. He has yet to assert himself in the offense. I believe he has a bright future ahead of him in the NFL but head coach Matt Nagy hasn't loosened his hold on Fields quite yet. If the Bears are going to compete this Sunday, Fields will need to produce and he just hasn't shown that to us yet. The Bears are at the bottom of the league in total offense. They are last in scoring and passing and if they can't slow down the Packers offense there's just no way they will keep up in this one.

Wide receiver Davante Adams continues to make his case for becoming the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL this coming offseason. Last week he caught 11 passes for a career-high 206 yards in the Packers win over the Bengals. He leads the NFL in both catches and yards through five weeks. In each of the last three times, he has faced the Bears he has scored a touchdown. I'm expecting more of the same this Sunday!

Green Bay has put together a 4-1-0 ATS record so far this year. The Bears have covered the spread just once as an underdog in three chances so far this season. In games Aaron Rodgers has started, the Packers are an astounding 21-5 against the Bears! Including the playoffs, the Packers are 19-3 in their last 22 head-to-heads. Winners of four straight games I don't see any sign of the Packers slowing down. Sure the Bears cashed an upset win on the road last week but the Raiders are a franchise in turmoil at the moment and the Packers are among the upper echelon of NFL teams again. The Packers are good enough defending the run which is what the Bears will try to do. They have no real way of keeping up offensively. Therefore, Aaron Rodgers and the cheese heads will roll once again and cover and most likely win this one by more than a touchdown.

One little bonus nugget for you: My friend pointed out to me before this season that in 2020, Davante Adams scored the first touchdown in 7 of 14 games he started. So far in 2021, he has done that once in five weeks. This week he is (-135) to score anytime but he is (+480) to score first if you want to take a stab at longer odds. The Bears boast top cornerback Jaylon Johnson, but Adams is matchup proof.

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Pick

NFL Free Picks: Week 6 is here after a wild Week 5. Week 5 saw Cordaralle Patterson and Kyle Pitts dominate the world stage in London. The Packers and Bengals back and forth overtime game with tons of botched field goals. Tom Brady and company continue to dominate. The Bills rolled over the Chiefs and are now AFC title favorites. The Patriots, Eagles, and Chargers all come out on top with 4th quarter comebacks. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals remain the lone unbeaten team and much, much more. This week, we'll see an NFC clash between the Buccaneers and Eagles on Thursday Night Football -- that one should be a ton of fun. A rivalry as old as time as the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears square off. The Arizona Cardinals put their undefeated record on the line against the Cleveland Browns, and on Monday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills will look to stay red-hot facing the Tennessee Titans.
