Washington Football Team vs. Green Bay Packers Prediction and Pick: Can the Packers Continue 5-Game Win Streak?

The Green Bay Packers had everyone panicking after a brutal Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Since then, the Packers have won five straight games. Like quarterback Aaron Rodgers always says… “relax!”

The Packers are only averaging 24 points per game and are winning some tight contests. However, they’re finding ways to win and that’s what counts the most. Meanwhile, the Football Team has lost three of their last four games and have allowed 29 or more points in each of their last five games this season.

Will the Packers offense ignite or can the Football Team find a way to get stops using their fantastic defensive line? Here are our picks and predictions for Week 7 action between the Football Team and the Packers.

Washington Football Team vs Green Bay Packers Prediction

Coming into the season, the Washington Football Team’s identity was supposed to be on the defensive end. Instead, that hasn’t been the case. The Football Team is allowing 31 points per game this season and have allowed at least 29 points in each of their last five games.

The main issue for Washington has been coverage. The Football Team is allowing 317.3 yards passing per game, despite having a defensive line full of first-round talent. The pass rush can’t do much if coverage doesn’t do their part.

Washington is allowing 430.8 yards per game this season and while they haven’t been awful against the run, they’re still allowing 113.5 yards per game on the ground.

Washington Football Team vs. Green Bay Packers odds

The Packers, on the other hand, are known for their passing game. Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league for years and continues to get more comfortable week-by-week. The Packers have been winning some tight games as of late. They’ve won these games due to their leader and captain, Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers has thrown for 1436 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’s also got just three interceptions on the season and has utilized many weapons, including Devonte Adams, who already has 688 yards receiving.

Meanwhile, the Packers have actually looked solid on the defensive end, holding teams to three touchdowns or fewer in the last three games this season. Against Washington and their poor passing offense, there’s a legitimate chance the Packers do that again. I’ll take the Packers -8.5. If you’re looking to tease this game down to potentially a -2.5 number, I agree with that as well.

Washington Football Team vs Green Bay Packers Pick
