NFL Week 7 Picks: Top Player Props for Sunday Afternoon Games

With the bye weeks fully underway, there are only 13 games this week. It’s going to feel a little different on Sunday with fewer games but that doesn’t mean we can take any time off from making some picks. This week, I’m looking at player props.

Instead of looking at the primetime games, we’re going to focus on the 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm Sunday slate. Three plays jumped out to me at this point.

Cordarrelle Patterson over 39.5 receiving yards (-115)

I legitimately had to do a double-take at this line. Over the last four weeks, Patterson has 60, 82, 82, and 58 receiving yards. Where the heck is the 39.5 number coming from! It’s not like the MIami Dolphins have this stellar defense to write home about. They rank 29th in the league in yards allowed through the air and have let up 274 receiving yards to running backs in six games (45.7 yards per game).

Atlanta has begun to favor Patterson in the offense and both he and Kyle Pitts will likely play a big role in the offense on Sunday against Miami. Hammer this line before Vegas wises up and bumps it up by like 10 yards.

Michael Carter Anytime TD scorer (+190)

The Jets’ offense is really bad. I know, that’s like saying water is wet but 13.4 points per game in the modern NFL is just baffling. Anyway, the Jets have had one game this year where they were able to run the ball and that was against New England back in Week 2. They rushed for 152 yards and they haven’t been able to clear 66 since.

Since then, Michael Carter has found the endzone twice and looks to be the feature back in the Jets offense now over Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson. He’s utilized in both the rushing and receiving game as a back so he has a good opportunity to score this week. I don’t expect a ton of scoring from New York this week but I love me some Michael Carter at almost +200 value.

Kyler Murray over 2.5 passing touchdowns (+130)

The Arizona Cardinals are going to destroy the Houston Texans this week. They’re favored by 17.5 and honestly, if that number was up around 23 points I still think I’d take it. Kyler Murray has thrown for three touchdowns or more in half of the Cardinals games this season.

Ironically, Houston’s one win was the only time they allowed more than 2.5 passing touchdowns in a game. They’ve given up the eighth fewest passing touchdowns in the league but to be fair, they haven’t faced Kyler Murray on an MVP pace just yet.
