Philadelphia Eagles vs. Las Vegas Raiders prediction and betting pick for this Sunday's Week 7 game in Las Vegas. Who should you be backing? Find out here

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction: Can Jalen Hurts Pull Off The Upset?

It’s been a painful six week of NFL football for Philadelphia Eagles fans. But, if you’re a Raiders fan, you have to be happy with where your team stands going into this game against Philladelphia.

The Raiders sit at 4-2 and are fresh off a win over AFC West rival Denver, despite all the off-the-field distractions that LV has dealt with. As for the Eagles, there aren’t a lot of good things to say about the team right now. You played the Buccaneers tougher than people thought? You covered? That’s about all I got.

But, this week the Eagles travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders and, while technically it’s an away game for Philly, you can expect the stadium to be mostly Eagles fan come the 4:30 PM ET kickoff on Sunday.

What does an Eagles vs. Raiders prediction look like this weekend? How should we be betting this game? Let’s take a look.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Las Vegas Raiders Prediction

As always when I preview an Eagles game, I’m going to start with them because I have a lot to say about how they’ve looked recently.

The good news for the Eagles is…

Yeah, I’m not sure I have a whole lot to go on here. The one good thing they have going for them right now is Devonta Smith is confirmed good at football. He consistently wins routes and gets open and that shows through on tape.

A few weeks ago, Jalen Hurts qualified as a positive for this team. Now? I’m not even sure what I can call this offense. And that is really where the Philadelphia problems start.

Nick Sirianni either isn’t calling effective plays or Jalen Hurts can’t run his offense effectively. One of those things have to be true. I’m the first one to blame the head coach in these situations, and he deserves blame here too, but some of the misses by Hurts are absolutely unforgivable and clearly on him.

His decision-making abilities seem to be a half-step slow every week. Last week he threw for 115 yards against a Tampa Bay defense that has been beaten through the air in almost every game. He doesn’t use the middle of the field and he can’t throw down the field with any type of accuracy or timing.

Every single time the Eagles score a point right now, it should be considered a modern-day miracle.

The Raiders’ offense started the year red hot. Then, they went ice-cold for two weeks. But, last week without Jon Gruden as their head coach, they put up 34 points on a solid Denver defense.

Derek Carr looks awesome this year. I’m a big fan of his progression as a QB and think he’ll have another good weekend in a win over the Eagles.

I actually have two plays on this one for Sunday. I’m backing the Raiders to cover the 3-point spread and I’m also taking Carr to throw under 288.5 yards.

The Eagles defense is not good. But, one thing they do is they keep wide receivers in front of them. The Eagles are still yet to give up a 300-yard passer yet this season. They will give up points and yards underneath, but Johnathan Gannon refuses to get beat deep.

And, this streak for the Eagles hasn’t come against all bottom-tied QBs. Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and Dak Prescott have all thrown for under 300 yards and Brady is the only one to surpass 288.
