Player Prop Specialist John Hyslop takes a look at the top NFL player prop to bet for the Week 7 Sunday night football matchup between the 49ers and Colts.

SNF Player Prop Picks: The Best Bet for San Francisco 49ers vs. Indianapolis Colts

Our NFL Sunday will come down to one last game Sunday night between the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers. The kickoff on NBC is at the normal 8:20 pm ET slot, and I think we should have a player prop going for this one. Why not, right? Here's the thing, it is supposed to pour down rain Sunday night in Santa Clara, and we may even see some winds higher than 15mph. So I think a little quarterback under move is necessary.

Sunday Night Football NFL Player Prop Pick

Carson Wentz under 223.5 passing yards (-114Line available at FanDuel

I used FanDuel here because DraftKings has already gone down to 208.5 for Wentz. BetMGM is already down to 207.5. It looks like we have a bunch of weather people looking ahead because we could have had 228.5 yesterday. Early bird gets the worm people.

This isn't purely a weather play for me, though. Wentz has only been over 251 yards once this season, so it's not like he is a huge threat through the air. I'll be the first to admit 223.5 is crazy low but on the road in a rain storm is not that time I would take it over. Especially against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers aren't the '85 Chicago Bears or anything, but they have been pretty good at limiting opposing quarterbacks. They just held Russell Wilson to 149 yards a couple of weeks ago, and two weeks ago, they limited Kyler Murray to just 239 passing yards. Carson Wentz is no Kyler Murray.

Besides rain and good defense, pace should be a factor. The Colts operate at the second slowest pace in the NFL. What's better, the 49ers don't move much faster. This feels like a game where the ADOTs for both quarterbacks are low, and the offenses will be moving slow. I don't think Wentz goes over 223.5 yards passing in this environment.
