3 Ways To Win Big on Monday Night Football: Seattle Seahawks vs. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks to close out Week 7. Once again, Seattle will be forced to start Geno Smith in place of the injured Russell Wilson so this isn’t the marquee matchup that the NFL thought they were getting when they originally scheduled the game on Monday Night Football.

Seattle has struggled mightily so far this year as they sit at 2-4 and they’ve scored just a combined 37 points in the last two weeks. It won’t get any easier as the Saints have one of the best defenses in the NFL ranking first overall before the start of Monday Night Football.

Do the Geno Smith-led Seahawks have any shot at home? We’ll take a look and try to make you some money with three ways to win big on Monday Night Football.

Seattle Seahawks vs New Orleans Saints Betting Odds

Alvin Kamara 125+ Rushing Yards and 50+ receiving yards (+1200)

Remember when the Seattle Seahawks had a good defense? For years, the identity of that team was to run the ball and play good defense. Well, those days are long gone as Seattle has allowed the most yards in the NFL, the most first downs in the NFL, and they rank 30th in the league in rushing yards allowed. Tonight, they go against one of the most prolific backs in football.

It’s been a slow start for Alvin Kamara who is averaging just 3.9 yards per carry and he has just one rushing touchdown after scoring 16 on the ground last season. Well, if there’s ever a game for him to get back on track it’s against this defense. Three times this season, Seattle has allowed over 125 yards of rushing, and the last time they faced a stud running back, they allowed Derrick Henry to go for 182 yards on them.

Alvin Kamara to score 2 TDs (+360)

As you can tell, I’m all over Kamara in this one. In New Orleans’ dominant win over Washington, Kamara had two touchdowns for the first time this season. What makes him such a threat to put up multi-scores is his ability as a runner and in the receiving game. In 65 career regular-season games, Alvin Kamara has 17 career games with two or more scores (26.2 percent). With the odds at +360, that implies a 21.7 percent chance of the event happening. Vegas may slightly be underselling Kamara’s ability here, you can find yourself a pretty nice return if he finds the endzone a few times tonight.

Tyler Lockett First TD Scorer (+1000)

Anytime touchdown scorers are hard to pick, first touchdown scorers are even more difficult. This was already very Saints heavy so I wanted to go with someone on Seattle in order to first switch it up and also to find some good value.

Considering how good New Orleans is against the run, I figured to avoid either of the Seattle running backs this week. D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett is a great one-two punch and while Metcalf has two more touchdowns their targets are nearly identical with Metcalf at 45 and Lockett at 42. D.K. feels like the chalk answer so instead, give me Lockett to get in the endzone first.
