When you have two teams whose record combines to 13-1, you’d normally expect a pretty good game. Unfortunately, COVID protocol and injury comes into play and the Packers will be down a ton of key guys throughout the roster and even on the coaching staff. Week 8 of the NFL season comes into play with the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Green Bay Packers.
If this game is to be competitive, Aaron Rodgers is going to have to drag his team in through this one. He’s done it before, will he be able to do it again? For this one, I’m going to be taking a look at three bold plays that can help you win big for Thursday Night Football.

Chase Edmonds over 100 rushing yards + 1 TD (+1900)
Through seven games this year, James Connor and Chase Edmonds have split carries. Connor has more with 89 attempts to Edmonds’ 68 but of the two it’s easy to see who is the more effective back. Edmonds is averaging 5.8 yards per carry while Connor is getting just 3.8. In four of the Cardinals’ seven games, Edmonds has received double-digit carries.
Only once this year has Edmonds eclipsed the 100 yard mark on the season but considering his effectiveness and the likelihood of a lead in this game, I’d anticipate more of a rushing attack for Arizona this week. Edmonds has yet to get into the endzone this year but based on usage, that should change soon as well.
A.J. Green First TD scorer (+1400)
First touchdowns scorers are difficult. You’re essentially closing your eyes and throwing a dart, but with this dart throw, there’s an educated guess involved. A.J. Green has been more involved in the offense than I originally anticipated as he has 406 yards and three touchdowns to his name already on the year.
Most NFL defenses tend to favor DeAndre Hopkins, which is completely understandable but as a result, the other wide receivers on the roster have a chance to do some damage. The Cardinals have the depth to go four-wide at times but as a red zone threat, even at age 33, A.J. Green is still that dude.
Aaron Rodgers Anytime TD scorer (+450)
It’s Aaron Rodgers vs the world tonight. He doesn’t have his regular cabinet of weapons so he may be forced to do things on his own. +450 is pretty good value for a quarterback who can run like he can. He’s no Kyler Murray but Rodgers has 33 rushing touchdowns on the season including this one a couple of weeks ago that resulted in one of the best player vs crowd exchanges we’ve seen.
