NFL Picks and Parlay: Top Week 8 Parlay Picks for Late Sunday Games

This week, there are four games in the late afternoon slate and some interesting matchups. Sure, Jacksonville vs Seattle and Washington vs Denver may not move the needle but a New Orleans vs Tampa Bay divisional matchup and New England vs Los Angeles Chargers matchup absolutely is something you have to be locked into.

In Week 8, all four of the late window games are 4.5 point or better games, which is a big difference from last week when they were pretty much all big lines. This week, I have three parlays for you to cash in on.

ML Parlay: Chargers, Seahawks, Broncos, Buccaneers (+413)

We’re back with the moneyline parlay this week and we’re getting pretty solid value on it at +413. For starters, the Los Angeles Chargers at home are looking for revenge on New England. Yes, the Patriots just demolished the Jets but I think people are looking into that too much heading into this matchup. Justin Herbert had his worst game as a pro against New England last year, I don’t think that happens again. As for Seattle, I mean they have to beat Jacksonville right?

I know Geno Smith is not very good and the offense has struggled with Russell Wilson out but it’s a huge ask for Trevor Lawrence to go on the road in Seattle and win outright, even in this situation. The Broncos and Washington Football Team is probably the game I’m least confident in. Neither of these teams are any good but I’m more so picking Denver for their defense going up against Taylor Heinicke. Denver is the third overall defense while Washington sits dead last.

Finally, there’s the Buccaneers over the Saints. This Saints team is so hard to get a read on and Tom Brady has the Bucs cooking. Maybe this turns into a field goal game and they don’t cover but looking at just the moneyline, I have a hard time buying the Saints being able to keep pace with the Bucs.

Ride The Chargers: Chargers Race to 25 points, Chargers Half, Chargers ML (+170)

For this parlay, we’re going heavy on the Chargers. Before their last game against Baltimore, they cleared the number three times in a row. Last year, New England embarrassed the Chargers and I know that it’s a new staff in here but I think Justin Herbert has a good day against an inconsistent defense. New England has beaten up on the Jets and Dolphins in three of their seven games so far but struggled against the Dallas and New Orleans offense.

The Chargers rank ninth in first-half points with 13 per game. If the Chargers get out to an early lead, which on paper they should, I see no issue with them being able to lead at both the half and the final whistle.

The Unders Parlay (+1149)

Life’s too short to bet the under, right? Wrong! Not if you like money. First, let’s take a look at what the totals are actually set at for these games:

  • Patriots vs Chargers: 49

  • Jaguars vs Seahawks: 44.5

  • WFT vs Broncos: 44.5

  • Buccaneers vs Saints: 50.5

Taking a look at these four matchups, here’s their record to the under; the Patriots and Chargers are a combined 9-4, the Jaguars and Seahawks are 9-3-1, Washington and Denver are 7-6 and Tampa and New Orleans are 7-6 also. If you’re going to go all out instead of mixing and matching, then I’m more confident in the under rather than the over. It might not be the sexy play but it is likelier the safer choice.
