ANALYSIS

NFL Expert Picks: Seattle Seahawks vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Best Bet

Another week of Football in the books, and now we have the 1-5 Jaguars traveling to Seattle to take on the 2-5 Seahawks. Neither of these two teams are remotely playing like they would have expected but the Seahawks are especially disappointing. While they are missing franchise quarterback Russell Wilson, and instead starting veteran Backup Geno Smith, this team hasn't looked impressive all year.

The Jaguars drafted Trevor Lawrence number one overall this offseason but it's definitely been a bit of a rocky start. There is a lot of good news, normally when you have a rookie quarterback in a struggling offense its because you can't move the ball down the field, think Zach Wilson and the Jets. That's not the case here, Lawrence has actually looked commanding driving the ball down the field but has struggled with both turnovers and redzone production.

This could sneakily be a game with some offense. While trusting Geno Smith to score points is a tough ask, both of these teams could struggle mightily on defense. The more I think about this, it could be a very sneaky cover/upset spot for the Jaguars. If they can get this offense going after a full bye week to work on a game plan, I could see this game staying very close.

If you're a Seahawks fan, don't panic quite yet. The Seahawks have gotten very good at running the ball and controlling the clock. They should do their best to keep the ball out of Trevor Lawrences and continue to establish the run.

Seahawks vs. Jaguars odds

Since Being traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Arnold has caught 8 passes for 91 yards with 13 targets and 55 routes run. Despite the fact that he likely knew very little of the playbook, Arnold immediately joined this team and served as a safety blanket for rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence. This team went out and traded a former first round pick for Dan Arnold, it's clear they want to get him involved in this offense.

He came out the gates hot, hitting this number easily in his first full game out. In his second full game, he had two unfortunate drops that held him under his total and left him with slightly under 30 yards. Now that this team is coming off a bye week, I'm expecting them to have Arnold much more involved in the offense. It's clear this team loves getting the tight end involved and running 55 routes in his first two weeks with the team gives me a lot of confidence in this one.
