NFL Player Props Week 8: Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets

In Week 6, we cashed on FIVE picks that were +300 or longer. Then we had "byemageddon" in Week 7 and it was a week to forget. Thankfully, Week 8 provides us with nearly a full slate of games to dive into in search of the best anytime touchdown picks. There are a plethora of good matchups to attack and I've done all the research so you don't have to.

My goal is always to find the best value, and picking touchdown scorers that are less than +200 isn't what I normally plan for, but I'm here to find winners. The variance on touchdown scorers is very high so the longer the odds the better but there's too much value on a few guys this week that I love that comes in priced less than +200.

It's time to turn this thing up a notch and get on a run. With Week 8 of the NFL here I'm looking for a strong week of anytime touchdown picks and trying to build back on our profit this season. Best of luck if you tail!

Week 8 Top Anytime TD Bets

Darrell Henderson (-105)

This is a BANKER. In other words, this is a 2 unit play for me. Last week I really believed Henderson would excel in a great matchup against the Lions but he ended up with his worst statistical performance so far in 2021. He has scored in 4 out of 6 games. He now faces the Texans who are allowing the second-most rush yards per game to running backs and second-highest yards per carry to running backs. I'm honestly going to sprinkle on Henderson to score two touchdowns at (+390)

James Robinson (+140)

These odds are insane. Robinson has scored in four straight games. Coming off a bye and now playing Seattle he gets a great matchup. Seattle is allowing 111.3 rushing yards per game, the sixth-most in the NFL to opposing running backs. Seattle has some extremely good luck in the red zone and they have only allowed 7 total scores to running backs. Seattle has allowed 30 red zone attempts the most in the NFL, and over the last four games, Robinson has had 9 goal-to-go rushes. He is set up for success again in Week 8.

TJ Hockenson (+165)

I was really hoping we would get a better price somewhere for Hock but this is the best there is. He has at least 8 targets in five out of 7 games. He hasn't scored since Week 2 but a matchup with the Eagles defense should change that. The Eagles are tied for the most touchdowns allowed to tight ends so far with 6 and have given up the second-most receptions to the position.

Tyler Higbee (+190)

Higbee is the second Ram I love this week to score. He has the most red-zone targets by any tight end with 12 so far which is actually tied for the second-most in the entire NFL with Mike Evans. He has played 91 percent of the snaps for this high-powered Rams offense and the Texans have been awful defending tight ends. They've allowed the 8th most yards and are tied for the most touchdowns allowed to tight ends.

Courtland Sutton (+210)

Sutton gets a tasty matchup this week going against the Washington secondary. The WFT has allowed the second-most yards to wide receivers and is tied for the second-most touchdowns. Sutton had scored in two straight weeks until the Broncos faced the Browns on Thursday night. He is second on the team in red-zone targets and with Jerry Jeudy coming back I think Sutton becomes the red zone threat meanwhile Jeudy eats up yardage. Sutton leads the entire NFL in Air Yards (932) so expect a big day from him.

Tommy Sweeney (+500)

Yes, I'm going to be that guy. With tight end, Dawson Knox missing this game for the Bills because of injury, Tommy Sweeney is in line for an uptick in usage. It's difficult to find value on any Bills player so I'm going with the guy who will be filling the shoes of Knox who has had a breakout season so far in 2021. Sweeney scored late against the Titans after Knox left the game. He's only had four targets all season but with an MVP favorite passing him the ball in a high-powered offense I like Sweeney at these odds. Not to mention, Miami has allowed the third-most yards to tight ends on the season so there is some vulnerability in their defense.

Zach Pascal (+275)

* I am waiting for news on T.Y. Hilton. If Hilton is ruled out we will be on Pascal. *

The Titans have allowed the most yards to opposing wide receivers and are tied for the third-most touchdowns. Michael Pittman has become the number 1 weapon for Carson Wentz on the outside but quietly Pascal has been strong when Hilton has missed time. Now with Parris Campbell out for the season even more targets should be up for grabs in the Colts offense. Pascal is second on the team in targets and has had no less than five in every game except the one Hilton was active. Pascal actually leads the Colts in red-zone targets with 9 which is tied for the 5th most in the NFL. Remember to keep an eye on Hilton's status before placing this one.
