Week 8 NFL Player Prop Picks: Three Best Bets of the Week

As real sports bettors, it would be irresponsible to not have at least three NFL player props on our card on Sundays. There are way too many games to not be able to at least find three player props you can be proud of. You know I'm right. All you have to do is go through every game with a fine-tooth comb and weed out the great bets. If you don't want to do that, you could just read the rest of this article.

Week 8 NFL Player Props

Tua Tagovailoa over 10.5 rushing yards @ -110 (DraftKings)

BetMGM is where I first saw this one but they had it for -120. I went over to DraftKings and they had it for -110 so I went with that. Either place is fine. I should mention that FanDuel has 10.5 for -114 so they are an option as well. It's a Tua party guys.

I'm always afraid this guy is going to get hurt but you can't think like that in this game we play. Nobody is going to predict injuries. All we can go on is what Tua has done in the last couple weeks and that's show off the wheels. In both of his last two starts he's run at least three times and finished with at least 22 rushing yards.

Tua isn't really a running quarterback but he's not slow either. In my opinion, he needs a pass play to break down before he's really effective on the ground and that is highly likely to happen against Buffalo. I think the Dolphins will play from behind in this one so there will be plenty of opportunities in the second half if we need them. We also won't have to worry about kneel-downs taking our yards away.

Michael Carter over 20.5 receiving yards @ -114 (FanDuel)

This one is hanging at FanDuel as we speak. DraftKings and BetMGM are both showing 22.5 -120 so I feel like we're getting a deal here. I wanted a reception number on this guy but we'll have to settle for yardage for now. It's fine though.

This kid is ultra-talented and the Jets have nothing to lose by playing him at this point. He's played more snaps than any other Jets' back this season and he's been trending in the lead-back direction for a few weeks now. Mike White seemed to look his way every time he dropped back last week which is another good sign.

No team in the NFL has given up more receptions to the running back position this season than the Cincinnati Bengals. My guess is teams have a hard time running on them so they substitute the short pass. Whatever the case may be, the Jets should get rolled again and when they are in "throw it all the time mode", Carter will get his.

Cole Kmet over 25.5 receiving yards @ -114 (FanDuel)

FanDuel is again the best place for this one. The -114 isn't great but the 25.5 works for me. BetMGM and DraftKings both have 26.5 -110 which is playable. Anytime you're dealing with the Bears you want the lowest number possible.

Cole Kmet might actually be a thing at this point. In terms of form, he's good right now. In each of his last two games, he's been targeted at least five times. In both of those games, he's gone over 43 receiving yards so we're good there too. Both games featured negative game scripts but that should happen this week too.

No team in the NFL has given up fewer receiving yards to the tight end position than the 49ers but that's a fake stat. They haven't really played teams that use the tight end. Mo Alie-Cox just caught three balls for 25 yards in a monsoon last week. TJ Hockenson went 8 for 97 and a touch against them. Kmet can easily get 25.5 receiving yards this week.
