Carolina Panthers vs. New England Patriots Predictions: Will Damien Harris and Mac Jones Continue to Impress?
The New England Patriots have won three of their last four games, with the lone loss coming on an overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, they’ll travel to Carolina and take on the Panthers, who have done the exact opposite by winning just one of their last five games. Ever since the Panthers lost Christian McCaffrey, their season has gone downward. The Panthers are coming off a win against the Falcons, 19-13, but have really struggled on the offensive end, scoring less than 21 points in three of their last five games.
On the other hand, the Patriots are starting to figure things out with rookie quarterback Mac Jones under center. A win against the Panthers would put the Patriots over .500 as they continue to fight for a chance at the postseason. Here are our picks and predictions for the Patriots vs. Panthers game on Sunday, November 7.

Carolina Panthers vs. New England Patriots Prediction
The Panthers are trending down while the Patriots are trending up. New England is busy beating up on bad teams and really playing solid defense against the opposition right now. With Sam Darnold already in concussion protocol, things don’t look too great for the Panthers right now.
The Panthers are just an average offense with so much talent. Sure, Christian McCaffrey is unavailable, but the reality is the Panthers have plenty of receivers that can go out and make plays. Yet, it’s just not happening in Carolina. Defensively, the Panthers added a lot of depth at the defensive back position, but rushing defense and tackling have been the bigger problem for this team on defense. Carolina is allowing 106.8 yards per game on the ground, but don’t be fooled.
The Patriots should run all over Carolina in this game. They’ve got a big run game that has been inconsistent but really good when effective. Damien Harris has six touchdowns on the year with 118 attempts for 517 yards. He’s going to be an X-factor against a terrible rushing defense for Carolina.
Meanwhile, the Patriots have played better defense this season, but they’ve had their moments too. New England has allowed 368 yards per game while Carolina has only allowed 314.4 but look for these numbers to be flipped on Sunday.
All in all, Mac Jones has played very well for New England recently. The Patriots will continue to develop their young quarterback, and he’ll play better as the season progresses. So let’s take the Patriots -4 in this spot.
