Player Prop Specialist John Hyslop takes a look at the top NFL player prop to bet for the Week 9 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets.

TNF Player Prop Picks: The Best Bet for Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets

The best thing about Thursday night football is that you don't have to wait for Sunday for some NFL action. By action, I mean gambling. Back in the day, we'd have a Monday night game and then we'd have to wait all the way until Sunday at 1:00pm ET for our next taste. It was madness, but the struggle made me the man I am today so I can't complain. I did it so you people don't have to and I'd do it again.

Another thing I'll do is give you a bet I would make a million out of a million times.

Michael Carter Over 4.5 receptions (+110)

Line available at publishing at FanDuel

FanDuel was first to market with this one and I'm proud of them for it. Most weeks we'll see DraftKings, who still hasn't posted any player props, or BetMGM. The fine people at BetMGM are definitely on their way with numbers as they do have some quarterback stuff up but we don't want that. We want the good stuff.

I absolutely love this move because I love the running back reception market. It's where the magic happens. Especially with teams that just won their Super Bowl last week and are 10 point dogs. Although I don't like going this high, I think it's warranted.

Mike White is getting the start again for the Jets and he loves Michael Carter. I mean loves him. Carter was targeted 14 times last week. That's ridiculous. The week before, White looked for him nine times.

Now, Carter didn't catch all of these targets, but with a number like this, we won't need him to on Thursday. You'd have to imagine the Jets will trail and need to throw at some point. The Colts will likely give them the flats where Carter operates. White, being the young guy he is, will check down all night. Carter will in turn catch at least five balls and we will all get paid off. Sounds easy enough to me.
