Bears vs. Steelers player prop picks for Week 9's Monday Night Football matchup from John Hyslop. Don't miss his favorite prop pick for tonight
ANALYSIS

Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks: The Best Bet For Bears vs. Steelers

It's Monday and that means one thing. Monday Night Football. It's beautiful. The only issue with tonight's game is that it might not be great. Not that we can't handle an ugly one, we just have to be prepared for it. It's going to take a sophisticated wager to get home in one of these games. We're literally going to have to crawl into Matt Nagy's brain and figure out what is going on. We might even have to move some stuff around while we're in there. The good news is, I found something in my first deep dive into the abyss that's Nagy's brain. It's not pretty but I'm telling you right now, it could make tonight special.

Marquise Goodwin over 1.5 receptions @ +154 (FanDuel)

This one is hanging proudly at FanDuel right now just waiting to be smashed. Don't worry DraftKings people, they've got this bet at 1.5 +130 so it's pretty much the same thing. BetMGM came in third here with 1.5 +125 but they are at least close.

I know Marquise Goodwin is the third receiver on a team that doesn't throw the ball unless they have to. Here's the thing, I think they'll have to tonight. They're seven-point dogs on the road against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is just better than they are. What do you want them to do?

Now we all know that Goodwin's best days are behind him but this is the lowest of low bars for him to clear. On top of that, we're getting a great price at +154. We only need him to catch two passes. How hard is that?

In his last two games, Goodwin has been targeted at least three times in both. He's also caught at least two balls in both games. Obviously, the Bears fought a negative game script in both games but they should see another one tonight since I think they're going to get waxed again.

This is one we don't have to overthink. We need a random receiver whose team is probably going to get blown out to catch at least two balls for a +154 payday. What could go wrong?
