Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles Same-Game Parlay Picks: Flying High With Jalen Hurts

The Denver Broncos pulled off a stunner last week, defeating the Dallas Cowboys, 30-16 on the road. For whatever reason, the Broncos just have Dallas’ number. Still, three of five wins by Denver this season were against the Giants, Jaguars, and Jets earlier in the season. Meanwhile, the Eagles have lost three of their last four and just took a deflating defeat to the Chargers at home, losing 27-24. The Eagles haven’t been throwing the football as much as of late, relying on their run game to do most of the talking. However, with Jalen Hurts starting to build a connection with Devonta Smith, it might be time to invest in the Eagles and their passing game. Here’s a Same-Game Parlay this weekend between the Eagles and Broncos.

Broncos vs. Eagles Same-Game Parlay Picks

Eagles (+120)

I’m not ready to jump on the Broncos bandwagon. However, everyone will this week, so it’s a good thing to be contrarian. The Eagles are simply the better team, despite being 3-6 on the year. Philadelphia has one of the best pass rushes in football and will go up against an offensive line that hasn’t performed all that well in pass protection this year. Denver has plenty of playmakers that can get the job done. However, the Eagles should be able to force Teddy Bridgewater into making a couple of mistakes. Or at least they can force third and longs in this game. On the other hand, the Eagles can run the ball successfully because of a very solid offensive line. Plus, as I spoke about earlier, Hurts has a connection with Smith, and it showed in the second half of last week’s game against the Chargers.

If the Eagles can find success in the ground game, going up against a Broncos team that struggles to make open-field tackles, that’ll open up the passing game, and things will move swiftly for the Eagles. So give me the Eagles in an upset for the first leg of this parlay.

Eagles Over 22.5 Team Total (-108)

It’s always great when you see a 22.5 team total. This way, if the Eagles have 20 points or 21 points, all you’re rooting for is a field goal. If the Eagles have 17, one touchdown, and you win the bet too. The Eagles offense should find success against an average Broncos defense. There’s really nothing to rave about with Denver as every category is just average for this team. The rushing defense has allowed under 100 yards a game, but a team like the Eagles will absolutely gain more than 100 yards on the ground in this game. Denver has only allowed 17 points per game, and that’s why they have people believing they’re a solid defense. But overall, that number is going to increase in the second half of the season. So it might as well start against the Eagles.

Eagles +.5 (-105)

This is a huge letdown spot for the Broncos. After starting last week’s game against the Cowboys off right, things will go in reverse against this Eagles pass rush. Right now, the secondary for the Eagles is a bit banged up, but as long as the pass rush can get to Bridgewater in time, things will work out defensively. On offense, look for the Eagles to start the game, rushing a lot of downs. However, once they get going on the ground, a couple of deep balls to Smith should be in the cards. This offense has the ability to be a lot better, and with a 3-6 record, the pressure is on Philadelphia to figure it out now.
