The Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys are coming off impressive wins. Now they square off in Week 11. Which team has the edge? Matt McCuen takes a look and gives us his favorite bet.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction: Are the Chiefs Back?

Americas Team, the Dallas Cowboys, will travel into Kansas City this Sunday to clash with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cowboys come into this game following their largest win of the season, as they blew out the Atlanta Falcons in Dallas last week. After a slow start, the Chiefs now sit atop the AFC West following a big win on Sunday in Las Vegas.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys Prediction

This is a battle on Sunday between teams who both sit at the top of their divisions and will look to continue their good fortunes. Patrick Mahomes has had to deal with a lot of outside noise this season as he has not looked like the normal Patrick Mahomes to many. However, Mahomes has bounced back the last few weeks and seems to be returning to regular form, which is a scary sight for the rest of the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys have had an impressive season and seem to be on the teams to beat out of the NFC. The Cowboys have their minds set on one goal this season: to win a super bowl as they have the roster to do so. Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury last season but has returned this season better than ever. Prescott is a clear-cut favorite for NFL Comeback player of the year and is in the conversation for league MVP. The issue a season ago for the Cowboys was their defense was dreadful. The Cowboys have become an average defense, ranking 15th in the NFL in points allowed. Dallas also features a pair of young stars in corner Back Trevon Diggs and rookie linebacker Micah Parson. Diggs is averaging nearly one interception per game, which has made him one of the favorites for defensive player of the year. Parsons is currently the favorite to win defensive rookie of the year. This is a game where I will be backing the home favorite in the Kansas City Chiefs.

The media overreacted to a few poor weeks from Patrick Mahomes but do not let that fool you that Mahomes remains the best quarterback in the National Football League. This is an offense that, when clicking, is the best in the game, and they have seemed to find their flow again. While improved, this is still a Dallas secondary who is very beatable and still ranks towards the league's bottom half in passing yards allowed.

The game plan from Andy Reid and this Kansas City team should be to pass early and to pass often. I think this is an excellent time to start backing the Chiefs after their early-season woes. I backed them in last week's battle against the Raiders and plan to move forward when they are getting short spreads like they are on Sunday.

This will be a challenging environment for the Cowboys to play in Kansas City, as this will be one of the season's biggest games. This is a game I expect points in, but I expect the Chiefs to be able to create some separation as the game goes along in the second half. I will gladly black the short home favorite as I have this line closer to four or five points. I believe we will continue to see the Kansas City Chiefs that we are used to.
