Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction: There's Value on the Moneyline
This Sunday, we will see a pair of AFC teams meet up in beautiful Las Vegas. The Cincinnati Bengals will travel West to face the Raiders.
The Bengals, led by second-year gunslinger Joe Burrow, have had a solid season, sporting a 5-4 record. However, Cincinnati has dropped their last two games, including one of the worst losses of the NFL season in a home loss to the New York Jets. The Bengals will look to return to form here on the road this Sunday.
Las Vegas has had a similar storyline to the Bengals. The Raiders came out blazing hot, playing to the tune of a 3-0 record, but they've struggled since then, going 2-4.
Despite their recent struggles, both of these teams are right in the discussion for the postseason. The AFC North is still wide open for the Bengals, and the same can be said for the AFC West and the Raiders. This is a big game for both of these teams this weekend as they are playing for their playoff hopes, and one of these teams will fall to the .500 mark for the first time this season.
This is a contest where the line tells the story for me -- I believe Cincinnati is the more talented team overall, but this is a very tough spot for the Bengals traveling West. The Bengals have regressed a bit the past few weeks, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Raiders have had a rough month on and off the field, but I believe this is a nice get-me-right spot for them this weekend.
The key in this game will be the passing attack of the Las Vegas Raiders. This Bengals run defense is very talented, so I don't think the Raiders will have a ton of success running the ball here. However, I do think this should be a favorable matchup through the air for the Raiders — the Bengals rank 24th in the NFL against the pass, allowing an average of 260 yards. The month of November has not been kind to Cincy, as no secondary has been more generous.
This should be a spot where Derek Carr will have his way and lead this Raiders team to a victory. Vegas' star tight end Darren Waller will also be in a position to post a breakout game after a few struggling weeks by his standards.
This Raiders defense will need to show up and perform in front of their home crowd on Sunday. The Raiders front, which has had their moments at times this season, will need to be in full effect on Sunday and make Joe Burrow uncomfortable most of this game. Look for star defensive end Maxx Crosby to be heard from against this Cincinnati Bengals offensive line.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincinnati Bengals Pick
I will be backing the Las Vegas Raiders in this game on Sunday at home. I trust Derek Carr in this spot to tear up this Bengals secondary who has been the worst secondary in all of football in the last month. The atmosphere should be electric in Vegas this Sunday, and we should get a win for the home team!
