Fantasy Football Week 12: 8 Streamers, Sleepers, and Waiver Wire Adds
Streamers are players you can plug and play each week to fill a void in your fantasy football lineups. These players are rostered in a low percentage of leagues and should be available for you to pick up.
I will focus on the best player at each position every week who are rostered in under 50% of leagues. Typically, these will be guys you won’t want to drop too much of your free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB) on as they will be mostly short-term solutions.
The hope is that the players listed below will perform well enough to make up for any starters you may have to sit due to injury, suspension, or bye weeks. Maybe they even become viable starters for your fantasy teams going forward.
Streamers, Sleepers, and Waiver Wire Adds
Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team vs Seattle Seahawks
Taylor Heinicke is coming off a great performance. He threw for 206 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran 6 times for 29 yards on the ground. Heinicke protected the ball and did not give up an interception.
He led Washington to a victory against one of the best defenses vs the quarterback position. The Carolina Panthers had given up just the 4th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks prior to Heinicke’s performance.
Heinicke has a better matchup in Week 12. The Seattle Seahawks have given up the 12th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Backup quarterback, Colt McCoy just lit them up in Week 11 with 328 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Heinicke should be able to provide some fantasy value this week.

Additional Week 12 QB Streamer to Consider
- Mac Jones, New England Patriots (vs Tennessee Titans) - FAAB: 6%
Ty Johnson, New York Jets @ Houston Texans
There are very limited options on waivers at the running back position. Chances are if you are looking to waivers for a running back, you are in some desperate times.
Ty Johnson hasn’t flashed much in the ground game this season. He has provided the Jets with some decent production as a receiver out of the backfield when needed.
With Michael Carter suffering an ankle injury last week, Johnson could be in line for additional opportunities against the Houston Texans this week. The Texans have given up the 12th most fantasy points to running backs this season.
Suggested FAAB: 7%
Additional Week 12 RB Streamer to Consider
- David Johnson, Houston Texans (vs New York Jets) - FAAB: 3%
Laviska Shenault, Jacksonville Jaguars vs Atlanta Falcons
Laviska Shenault has totaled 8 receptions on 13 targets in his last 2 games. He just caught all 5 of his targets for 50 yards and the 49ers last week.
Jamal Agnew will miss the rest of the season with a hip injury. As a result, Shenault will see increased targets against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12 and going forward.
The Atlanta Falcons have given up the 9th most fantasy points to wide receivers. The have allowed 14 receiving touchdowns from the position through 10 games.
Suggested FAAB: 8%
Additional Week 12 WR Streamer to Consider
- Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons (@ Jacksonville Jaguars) - FAAB: 4%
Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens
When it comes to tight ends, you want volume. Volume creates additional opportunities for a tight end to be fantasy relevant, which honestly doesn’t take much.
Austin Hooper has 5 or more targets in 3 of his last 4 games. He scored a touchdown 2 weeks ago and caught 4 balls for 53 yards last week. Any time a tight end can go over 50 yards and/or score a touchdown, you can call it a successful day on your fantasy squads.
Hooper has a nice matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this week. The Ravens have given up the 2nd most fantasy points to tight ends. They have allowed a tight end to have 50 or more receiving yards in 4 games this year while allowing 6 touchdowns to the position.
Suggested FAAB: 4%
Additional Week 12 TE Streamer to Consider
- Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks (@ Washington Football Team) - FAAB: 1%
