With Week 13 of the NFL season approaching, Matt McCuen gives three early plays that you should jump on.

NFL Week 13 Picks: Three Bets You Should Make Right Now

It is always great to beat some lines early in the week, and I am back with my three best bets to lock in for the early NFL week. At this point in the season, every game becomes pivotal, and we will see that this weekend with a bunch of games on the board as the season enters the cold and essential month of December. The first match-up I will be looking at will likely be the game of the week.

Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots Prediction

This game will decide who leads the AFC East in a battle between the NFL’s hottest team, the New England Patriots, and the high-powered Buffalo Bills led by MVP Canadiate Josh Allen. The Patriots have won six games in a row and currently find themselves a half a game above the BIlls for first place and will look to continue their win streak on Monday Night. This is a game I will be backing the hometown Bills, this is a line I have closer to six points, and I believe the three-point spread is disrespectful to the Bills at home. This Bills offense is one of the best in the NFL, and I think the best in the NFL when clicking and right. The Bills dominated an excellent Saints defense on Thursday night and seemed to be back to form.

I also see the rest that the Bills have as a huge advantage playing on Thursday, and getting off till Monday is almost like an extra bye week for the Bills, especially at home. I believe the Bills will roll in this football game, and this number will shoot up, so I will look it in now!

Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction

The next play I am looking at will be a battle between a pair of teams who have opposite types of seasons. The Jacksonville Jaguars will travel West to take on the LA Rams on Sunday afternoon. The Rams are on a cold stretch losing three games in a row and have not had a win since acquiring Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. This Rams team is coming off a blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers, and all of a sudden find themselves jockeying for a wildcard spot in the NFC. I do believe this is the perfect bounce-back spot for the Rams this week at home, facing one of the worst teams. I will be backing the Rams in this football game on the first half spread at -6.5. The Rams will be out to prove a point that they are still one of the best teams in football, and I see them rolling the Jags early and often on Sunday.

Rams vs. Jaguars Pick

  • Rams 1H -6.5 (-115)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction

The final play I will be taking and locking in early before line movement will concern a battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens come into this game following a big Sunday Night Football win vs. the Browns in a crowded AFC North. This will be a significant game on Sunday for both the Steelers and Ravens and their playoff hopes. The heavy public play in this game will be the Ravens, and while I believe the Ravens are overall the more talented team, this is an excellent spot for the Steelers as dogs at home. Something about these December AFC North battles is where a home dog looks too sweet to pass up on. The Steeler’s defense should limit the production of the Ravens and offense and hang in this one at home. I will gladly take points in this type of battle and back the Steelers on Sunday!
